Okay, I will try my very best not to digress. I didn’t promise, I said I’ll try.
And so everyone is excited about our upcoming project at work (or so I think). I have heard that a lot of potential talents will be unleashed once it starts. It’s called Horizon Sessionistas, the Search for the Best Acoustic Band…(better get ready, here it is, hold it!) EVAH! Organizing an event like this makes me skip meals (not really - Mom).
Now why is it worth teh blog? Because I said so! And because I think you are envious because your boss makes you work as hard as hell and doesn’t want you to relax sometimes and get incentives while enjoying. Poor you! But come on, I know how you feel. Work sucks (to quote the famous philosophical band Blink 182) but you gotta chill. If no one would step up, why don’t you?
Talking about stepping up and being proactive. I will tell this again and I hope this is the last time imma do it. I enjoy organizing events for our account and our company because I love entertainment. When I see people smile, I am already paid. Yes, my dear follower (‘coz I know it’s just you, Mom!), I do this pro bono. Some people think that I am just papansin but boy do I care never! I know I cannot please everybody (cliche count, please?) and my brother is not a pig ‘coz I don’t have a brother. I just really feel fulfilled when people trust my crap, err, craft and believe in what I can do.
I once told a friend that for a person not to feel burned out, he has to do something new. It may be one new activity a week or a month or a year, but do something that is ultra new to you. Like bungee jumping. Or solving a sudoku. Or teaching me how to dougie. This is my way of making myself fall in love with work. I would always say that the reason I stay is because of the people around me. And it is so true. I also dream of not working and just bathe with money or slap my friends with cash but hey! Why not make yourself happy while you wait to be filthy rich?
I warned you. Really.
Getting jiggy with the Sessionistas and other future projects with my 2nd family is what keeps me going. The target is on or before Valentine’s Day (yes, mushy, indeed!) and I will try my best to have someone take a vid of the sessions, for blog purposes.
Happiness is just around the corner (was it Vengaboys or Aqua?).
:)
